تم بهی غالب کمال کرتے ہو

امیدیں انسانوں سے لگا کر شکایتیں خدا سے کرتے ہو

Tum bhi Ghalib kamal karte ho,

umeedein insano se laga kar, shikayatein Khuda se karte ho.

ہر پھول خوشبودار نہیں ہوتا ہر دوست وفادار نہیں ہوتا

Har phool khushbodar nahi hota, har dost wafadar nahi hota.

کبھی راستے جدا ہو جاتے ہیں کبھی لوگ خفا ہو جاتے ہیں

اُسے شک تھا کہ مجھے شک تھا اس پر” مجھے شک تھا کہ میرا حق تھا اس پر “

Usy shak tha ke mujhe shak tha us par, mujhe shak tha ke mera haq tha us par.
Usy jana tha mujhe rona tha, yahi hona tha, use maloom tha dil kis hadd tak tha us par.
